19/03/2008
After 11 years of successful operation in Vietnam under the name of VIG - a joint venture of Air Liquide (France), BOC (UK) and Sumitomo (Japan), VIG have officially changed its name to Air Liquide Vietnam.

Vietnam industrial Gases, Ltd (VIG) is formally renamed Air Liquide Vietnam Ltd (ALV), effective from 7th September 2007. Our only shareholder today is the Air Liquide group following the acquisition of shares of two other shareholders (BOC and Sumitomo Corporation).

With current good operation of our first Air Separation Unit in Bac Ninh province (North Vietnam) since 1999 till now to supply to customers and partners in the North, Air Liquide has decided to invest intensively into Vietnam emerging economy both in North and South Vietnam.

Its second air separation plant in the North will be put into operation in October 2007, to better serve increasing demand of our dear customers.

Air Liquide Vietnam is expanding to the South market and building a third Air Separation Unit in Phu My 1 Industrial Park, Ba Ria –Vung Tau province (the biggest in the country) and we have just received approval from Saigon High Tech Park to build a fourth Air Separation Unit in this park.

We have been supplying gases through pipeline (Nitrogen, Hydrogen), on-site plant (Nitrogen, Hydrogen), liquid in storage tanks (Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon) and compressed gases in cylinders. Our product range also includes Liquid Helium, laboratory and special gases/mixture, calibration gases imported from our sister companies in other countries (Singapore, France, USA….)

We believe, with our presence in both North and South Vietnam, we can now meet your gas requirement anywhere in Vietnam territory.
